Would the average high school jock be able to find a job at a Hotel chain?

I know it's crazy, but do small hotels (not motels) ever hire high school kids? I live in a small town, and really there's nothing else besides labor and flipping burgers. There's a holiday inn in town, but should i get real?

Just remember, if you really want something, then work hard for it. it does not matter your background as long as you do what needs to be done and contribute to make the company better

They would probably hire you as a houseman.

The houseman is responsible for helping guests with luggage, helping the maids fold laundry in the laundry room, cleaning the parking lot, and the grounds of the hotel, including hallways, the lobby, and possibly even taking care of the landscaping.

basically, aside from front desk functions, the houseman is responsible for doing everything that the maids don't do.

You should try to apply to be a bellman (person who helps guests with their luggage), front desk clerk, or maybe groundskeeper. There are a number of jobs that they could consider you for, even in a small town.
