What do i need in order to rent a hotel/motel room..read details?

ok so my boyfriend is flying into town, hes 17. (Los Angeles, to Dallas) His parents are more than happy to rent a hotel/motel whatever for him but there not coming along on the trip. So can my boyfriend stay in a hotel room by himself? He doesnt have a credit card (his parents are paying), and cannot bring his parents credit card along on this trip. And he has a form of ID.

When in doubt call the hotel or motel direct some will only ask for a drivers license or valid ID. The parents can call and make the reservation and confirm the room with their credit card with most hotels.

Some may or may not want a credit card for security if they require a credit card some will take a cash deposit as well.

All you need is a driver's license or other form of ID and, of course, money.
