Where is decent hotel/motel in NEW JERSEY?

I planning to visit your state for the first time from the caribean and don't want to stay most of my time in expensive places, a price between $45- $60 per day would be fine and not a far drive from New York.MY party is (3) in a group of about 24.Please do not be surprise or laugh at me, i have gotting good deals when we visited Florida a those price range.


the Grant in manhatten goes for $60 a night.

Be careful as some hotels will charge for parking. If you are going to spend a lot of time in NY forget abought driveing as you can spend more money for parking then just takeing subways and Taxis not to mention the time you will waste driveing in trafic jams and geting lost.

Jersy city was too much money. Newark is close too and it looks like 5. Howard Johnson Newark Int'l Airport $60 is the best price!
