I am looking for some honest opinions of the following motel in the Alexandria Bay, NY area: Boardwalk Motel?

I looked at several reviews of the Boardwalk Resort/Motel and they were not very favorable. Apparently the outside is lovely; great view, right on the water; nice pool etc. However, the reviewers all said that the rooms were awful; musty, not very clean and "listing" towards the Bay (in other words, a ball placed on the floor would roll down towards the wall). I'm not a particularly picky person about interior details as long as the view and exterior are nice...but this sounds a little too grungy for me. Maybe you could call to see if any of their rooms have been renovated recently.
