Can I use a Paypal Debit Card for a Super 8 Motel Room?

I just turned 18 and will soon be going on a trip which will require the use of a motel (Super 8). I don't have a credit card and I was wondering if I can use a Paypal Debit card to book a motel? Can I pay in cash and give them the card in case of damage/phone calls (wont happen but that's why they need the card, right?)

I am not sure about this, but I don't think you can do that. Your best option is to call the motel and ask about their requirements. What they may ask you to do is to make a cash deposit of $200 or $300 in case of damage, and it will be returned when you are checking out.
